Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services

WESP offers pre-apprenticeship, entrepreneurship and employment skills training for women with low incomes. Training is delivered in four streams: skilled trades, entrepreneurship, information technology and general employment training. All programs include extra supports such as food, transportation, help finding child care and referrals to mental health, housing and legal services. Some programs also offer specialized support for women who have experienced or are at risk of gender-based violence.
