Province covers 50 per cent of eligible costs up to a maximum of $90,000 to create a new plan (Stream 1) or $25,000 to continue work on an existing plan (Stream 2)

Funds Ontario municipalities to develop a new community energy plan (Stream 1) or update an existing energy plan (Stream 2). It does not fund implementing existing plans.

Who qualifies

All Ontario municipalities, including upper-tier municipalities. Lower-tier municipalities must submit a letter from their upper-tier municipality confirming support. Apply online through Transfer Payment Ontario.
