Local municipalities / Business Improvement Areas
Varies by municipality; no provincial amount

Who qualifies
Varies by municipality: a municipality must have official plan provisions on community improvement and designate a community improvement project area by by-law before offering incentives, so only properties inside a designated area qualify. Approval from the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing is required (outside Toronto) to establish a municipal small business program, but a Minister's approval for financial incentives through a CIP is no longer required.
