Who qualifies

Applicants must be entities wholly owned by one or more Indigenous partners, and the loan or bond must fund part of the applicant's equity investment in an eligible project. Projects in the energy, critical minerals and resource development sectors must show a robust financial plan, confirmed Indigenous community support (for example a Band Council Resolution), a developed capital stack, and project agreements and corporate structure. Every guarantee requires Ontario government approval.
