Who qualifies
The applicant must have an Enbridge Gas account in their own name, and the home must be heated with a natural gas furnace or boiler. Electrically heated homes must apply directly to the Energy Affordability Program. The household must also meet an income threshold based on household size, or receive assistance from a listed government program such as Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program. Homes built before 1980 have higher insulation and draft-proofing requirements. Renters can apply, but the landlord's contact information is needed.
