Who qualifies
The claimant must be a qualifying individual (eligible for the disability tax credit at any time in the year, or aged 65 or older at the end of the year) or an eligible individual claiming for one, such as a spouse or family member. Expenses must be for a qualifying renovation of an eligible dwelling.
Good to know
- Funding: The $20,000 is the cap on eligible expenses per qualifying individual per year (and per dwelling when several qualifying individuals share it), not the value of the credit. The credit rate was not read on the page and is not stated here.
