Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI)
CFI will invest up to $325 million in research infrastructure funding and will fund up to 40 percent of a project's eligible infrastructure costs; up to a further $97.5 million is provided for associated operating and maintenance costs through the Infrastructure Operating Fund.

Who qualifies
Canadian universities, colleges, research hospitals and non-profit research institutions recognized as eligible by the CFI, with an up-to-date institutional agreement and CAMS account. Total project costs must be greater than $1 million. Each institution has its own envelope. Only institutions apply; businesses participate as partners.
